Partnership and Co-Marketing: Joint Collection and Use

In some instances, our Website and courses are offered through partnerships with educational institutions and companies whereby we promote and deliver the Website and relevant courses to professionals on a co-branded basis with such educational/business partners (each, a “Co-Marketing Partner”). Collection of Your Information

Course Registration and Enrollment

Information obtained from you on course registration and enrollment forms, as well as information you include in your EmergingEd account profile online and information generated in connection with your course participation, such as the following:

  • Identifiers and contact information, including first and last name, email address, telephone number, postal address, social media account name or handle, Social Security number, EmergingEd online account username and password, and date of birth. This registration information may also be gathered if you register for certain courses via our call center, postal mail, or fax. If we partner with your employer (or another company you are affiliated with) to offer you courses on a co-branded basis, we may also receive your name, email address, phone number, and postal address from your employer. When you register and pay for our courses through our third party payment processor, we will receive your postal address from such payment processor.
  • Course registration information, including courses you enrolled in, courses completed and not completed, and course dates and times.
  • Photographs, including an EmergingEd online account profile and social medial profile photos shared with us or via the Website.

Course Completion Surveys

Information submitted by you on Course Completion Surveys, such as the following:

  • Course registration information, including course taken and your opinions regarding the course, course materials, and instructors.
  • Professional and employment-related information, including current employment status, job function, job title, employer name, and salary range.
  • Education information, including the highest level of education completed.
  • Characteristics of protected classifications under California or federal law, such as your gender and age range.
  • Inferences drawn from any of the information collected via surveys and course enrollment to create a profile about you reflecting your course preferences, attitudes, and abilities.

Information obtained from you when submitting an inquiry or requesting information (including via email, our call center, or other contexts), such as your first and last name, email address, telephone number, postal address, social media account name or handle, and information requested.

Information We Collect Through Your Use of Our Website

As you navigate through the Website, certain information may be passively collected (i.e., gathered without you actively providing information) using various technologies and means. Right to Deletion

You have the right to request that EmergingEd delete personal information about you which we have collected from you (“Request to Delete”). Please be aware that a Request to Delete does not ensure complete or comprehensive deletion of your personal information and that there may be circumstances in which the law does not require or allow deletion even if requested, such as when the information is necessary in order to complete the transaction for which the personal information was collected, to provide a service requested by you, or to comply with a legal obligation.
